Three days is enough for a strong first impression of Cyprus if you plan carefully. The best short route combines one city day, one mountain day and one coast day. This gives you history, villages, food, beaches and scenic driving without trying to cover the entire island.
For most visitors, the easiest base is either Larnaca, Limassol or Paphos. Renting a car makes this itinerary much easier, especially for Troodos villages and beach stops outside the main cities.

Drive to mountain villages such as Omodos, Kakopetria or Platres. Add a winery, monastery or viewpoint depending on your pace.
Visit Paphos Archaeological Park early, walk the harbour, then spend the afternoon at Coral Bay or a nearby beach.
If you prefer less driving, replace Troodos with Limassol and Governor’s Beach. If beaches are your priority, replace Nicosia with Protaras, Fig Tree Bay and Konnos Bay. For first-time visitors, however, the Nicosia–Troodos–Paphos route gives the most balanced view of Cyprus in only three days.
Three days is enough for a first trip if you focus on one city, one mountain route and one coastal area.
A car is strongly recommended, especially for Troodos villages and flexible beach stops.
Larnaca is convenient for Nicosia and central routes, while Paphos is convenient for western Cyprus and beach-focused trips.
