**27kg of Ketamine Seized in Limassol Apartment**
Limassol, Cyprus – In a significant drug bust, police have seized 27.5 kilograms of ketamine along with various other illegal substances from an apartment in Limassol. The operation was conducted by the drug squad, YKAN, who executed a search warrant on Tuesday.
The search took place in the presence of the apartment's two tenants, aged 23 and 24. During the operation, officers discovered not only the large quantity of ketamine but also smaller amounts of other drugs, including 377 grams of cannabis, 776 grams of mephedrone, 269 grams of MDMA, and 172 grams of cocaine. Additionally, police confiscated €10,000 in cash, which is believed to be linked to drug trafficking activities.
The situation escalated during the search when the two tenants allegedly resisted arrest, resulting in a physical altercation that left one police officer injured. Both individuals were taken into custody and are expected to face a remand hearing in court on Wednesday.
