A 39-year-old man was killed in an attack on a gas station in the Bryansk region town of Starodub, 35 kilometers (21 miles) north of the Ukrainian border, acting Governor Yegor Kovalchuk said. Three others were wounded, he added. In the nearby Belgorod region, acting Governor Alexander Shuvayev said one person was killed in a border district as a result of a “targeted” hit. Four others were injured across the region, where Shuvayev said Ukraine carried out 112 attacks in the past 24 hours. Unverified reports said that Ukrainian drones targeted a Rosneft-operated oil refinery in the southern Saratov region. Saratov region Governor Roman Busargin confirmed only damage to residential homes and that 10 people, including three children, were injured. Crimea’s Kremlin-installed leader Sergei Aksyonov reported two deaths and one injury from a drone strike near the city of Simferopol. Russia’s Defense Ministry said it intercepted 384 Ukrainian drones across Russia and Crimea between Monday night and Tuesday morning. Meanwhile, in Ukraine, at least two people were killed in Kyiv after Russia resumed its strikes on the Ukrainian capital following a three-day ceasefire that coincided with renewed talks to end the war.
