Another poll in Germany shows record-low rating for CDU/CSU bloc Meanwhile, support for the Alternative for Germany has reached a record high of 30%BERLIN, October 3. /TASS/. Support for Germany’s Christian Democratic Union/Christian Social Union (CDU/CSU) bloc has fallen to a record low, with 18% of respondents saying they would vote for the conservatives, according to a poll conducted by the INSA polling institute for Bild. The CDU/CSU has never recorded such a low level of support in an INSA poll. Meanwhile, support for the Alternative for Germany (AfD) has reached a record high of 30%, putting the party 12 percentage points ahead of the conservatives. The Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD) and the Greens each received 14% in the poll, while the Left Party was backed by 10% of respondents. The remaining parties would fail to clear the 5% threshold required to enter the Bundestag. The survey was conducted from September 28 to October 2 among 1,202 respondents. An earlier poll by the Forsa research institute had also recorded a record-low level of support for the CDU/CSU.
