**Armed Man Arrested at Trump’s LA Golf Course Ahead of President’s Visit**
**Rancho Palos Verdes, California** – A 38-year-old man was arrested on Sunday at the Trump National Golf Club in Rancho Palos Verdes, just days before a scheduled visit by former President Donald Trump. The arrest took place amid heightened security measures as Trump prepares for a Republican Party fundraising dinner on Tuesday.
Authorities identified the suspect as Jeanine John Taele. According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, Taele was observed taking photographs and filming the golf course grounds, seemingly monitoring security arrangements in anticipation of the president's arrival.
During the arrest, deputies discovered a loaded handgun and hollow-point ammunition in Taele’s possession. Specifically, he had a 16-round magazine loaded with ammunition in his pocket. Additionally, law enforcement officials recovered a loaded pistol, which had a round chambered, along with a second loaded magazine from his vehicle parked at the golf course.
The investigation into Taele is not limited to this incident; he was reportedly already under scrutiny by the El Segundo Police Department due to a separate robbery case. Following his arrest, detectives, in collaboration with the FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force, executed a search warrant at Taele’s home in Downey. During this search, they uncovered an illegally modified rifle, another pistol, body armor, high-capacity magazines, bulk ammunition, and various radio signal devices. Notably, they also found notebooks containing what officials described as “concerning statements.”
Despite the alarming nature of the findings, the sheriff’s department stated that they had not identified any credible threat to the public. Taele is currently being held without bail as prosecutors consider potential charges against him.
