At least 12 people have died, and another 309 have been injured in an attack on King Khalid International Airport in the capital of Saudi Arabia, the Kingdom’s General Authority of Civil Aviation said. "In addition to the previous statement regarding the attack on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, the General Authority of Civil Aviation clarifies that the attack resulted in the deaths of 12 people, including four Saudi nationals and people of the following nationalities: two Bangladeshis, one American, one Egyptian, one Jordanian, one Syrian, one Palestinian, and one Sudanese," the agency said in a statement. "The attack also resulted in injuries to 309 people, including those in critical condition." All the victims are receiving the necessary medical care in hospitals. It added that the attack caused material damage, the extent of which is currently being assessed. The Wall Street Journal quoted sources as saying that Terminals 3 and 4 were significantly damaged after direct missile hits. It said part of the building’s roof collapsed onto people after the strikes. A source in the air traffic control services told TASS that the international airport will be closed until tentatively the end of Sunday, October 11.
