**Bank of Cyprus Named Cyprus’ Best Digital Bank at Euromoney Awards for Excellence 2026**

The Bank of Cyprus (BoC) has been awarded the title of Cyprus’ Best Digital Bank at the prestigious Euromoney Awards for Excellence 2026. This accolade recognizes the bank's significant advancements in digital banking throughout the evaluation period from January 1, 2025, to December 31, 2025.

According to the bank, the award reflects a series of major digital innovations that were introduced during the year. Notably, the integration of Fleksy, Cyprus’ first buy now, pay later service, into its digital banking platform was highlighted as a key achievement. This service allows customers to make purchases and pay for them over time, enhancing financial flexibility for users.

In addition to Fleksy, the Bank of Cyprus made substantial upgrades to its Joey youth banking ecosystem. These enhancements included new features focused on savings and goal-setting, as well as the capability for users to transfer money between Joey accounts. Such improvements are aimed at engaging younger customers and promoting financial literacy among the youth.

The bank also expanded its QuickAccount service, which now supports transactions in sterling and US dollar accounts, catering to a broader range of customer needs. Another significant development was the launch of what the bank described as the market’s first digital housing loan, further diversifying its offerings in the competitive banking landscape.

The Bank of Cyprus reported that its digital strategy has led to a notable increase in customer engagement, with active digital users surpassing 500,000. Chief Digital Officer Demetris Nicolaou commented on the achievement, stating, “Enabling our customers to access the financial products and services they need with ease at any time is at the core of our digital strategy.” He expressed gratitude for the recognition, emphasizing the bank's commitment to digital innovation.

This recognition as the Best Digital Bank comes on the heels of another successful performance by the Bank of Cyprus at the Euromoney Private Banking Awards 2026. The bank retained its titles as Best Private Bank in Cyprus and Best for High-Net-Worth Individuals in Cyprus for the second consecutive year. Euromoney attributed this success to growth in advisory services, ongoing digital initiatives, and a remarkable 36 percent increase in assets under management during the review period.

The Bank of Cyprus continues to position itself as a leader in the digital banking space, with a focus on enhancing customer experience and expanding its range of services. The recognition at the Euromoney Awards underscores the bank's efforts to innovate and adapt to the evolving needs of its customers in an increasingly digital world.
