**BoCCF to Host ‘Ancient Coins as Contemporary Jewellery’ Workshop for Adults**
The Bank of Cyprus Cultural Foundation (BoCCF) is set to kick off its “Moments at the Museum ’26” events with a unique workshop titled “Ancient Coins as Contemporary Jewellery.” Scheduled for Sunday, October 11, 2026, from 11 AM to 1 PM, this workshop invites adults to explore the intersection of history and contemporary art through the medium of ancient coins.
The workshop will be led by artist Christos Avraam and contemporary jewelry designer Ero Kaskani. Participants will begin with a brief presentation that delves into the historical significance and artistic forms of ancient coins, which are part of the BoCCF’s Museum of the History of Cypriot Coinage collection. This presentation aims to provide attendees with a deeper understanding of the coins, serving as a source of inspiration for their own creative expressions.
Following the presentation, participants will have the opportunity to create a replica of an ancient coin and transform it into a piece of jewelry. The workshop will emphasize the exploration of form, texture, and aesthetics, encouraging attendees to engage in abstract thinking as they develop their designs. This hands-on experience is designed not only to foster creativity but also to connect participants with the rich history of Cypriot coinage.
