According to Michalis Nikolaou, the assistant police operations director and spokesperson for the Paphos police, the case has been forwarded for legal examination. Nikolaou stated, “The investigator has submitted the case for further examination. As far as any prosecution is concerned, the decision will be taken by the attorney-general.”
The father, who was reportedly playing with his son at the time of the accident, is said to have been unaware that a section of the sliding window was open. The child slipped through the opening and fell to the ground below, succumbing to his injuries shortly after.
