Global shipments of humanoid robots nearly quadrupled in the first half of the year, with China commanding 97% of the international market, according to US-based Smart Analytics Global (SAG). "China remains the center of the current humanoid robotics boom. Chinese vendors contributed more than 97% of global humanoid robot shipments in 1H 2026, while China represented more than 85% of global demand, according to SAG estimates," the company's report says. Humanoid robot deliveries totaled 19,100 units in the first six months of the year, up from just 5,100 units during the same period last year. Two Chinese companies, Agibot and Unitree, accounted for the bulk of production, controlling 44% and 31% of the global market, respectively. SAG analysts project that humanoid robot shipments will reach 60,000 units by the end of 2026, with annual output scaling up to 500,000 units by 2030, generating roughly $3 billion in total revenue. The report points out that the share of robot procurement for commercial and industrial use rose from 50% to 70% year-on-year. However, analysts note that technological immaturity remains a barrier to faster integration. Additionally, the authors highlighted the US government's decision to restrict foreign humanoid robot imports, though analysts believe it is too early to determine how this measure will impact specific suppliers.
