**CSE Honors Top Economics Student at University of Cyprus**
The Cyprus Stock Exchange (CSE) has reaffirmed its commitment to educational excellence by presenting its annual academic excellence award to the top-performing economics student at the University of Cyprus. This year's award ceremony took place on June 29, 2026, at the university, celebrating the achievements of students from the 2025-2026 academic year.
The award, officially named the “Cyprus Stock Exchange Annual Award in memory of former CSE Council chairman Akis Cleanthous,” is part of the CSE's broader corporate social responsibility initiatives aimed at contributing positively to society. The CSE has established this recognition as a way to promote educational achievement and honor outstanding academic performance among students.
During the ceremony, CSE Deputy General Manager Nicos Trypatsas presented a cash prize of €500 to Stylianos Savva, who distinguished himself by achieving the highest academic performance in the economics specialization within the Department of Economics of the University’s School of Economics and Management.
The CSE emphasized that the annual recognition of a University of Cyprus student has become a well-established tradition in recent years. This initiative not only encourages students to aim for academic excellence but also acknowledges their personal integrity and dedication to their studies.
The CSE's efforts to support educational initiatives reflect its commitment to fostering a culture of excellence within the academic community in Cyprus. By recognizing the achievements of students like Savva, the CSE aims to inspire future generations to pursue their educational goals with diligence and integrity.
