The head of the US foreign policy department did not disclose details of the changes he expects, but cited Poland as an example of a change in political course. "It took countries in Eastern Europe three to five years to truly become what we know them to be today. Poland is probably the best example. So I think Cuba will be on that path," the Secretary of State said. According to Rubio, "it's in the national interest of our country to have a Cuba that's safe and stable and aligned with the US."
