**Cypriot Firms Impress at Eurosatory Expo in Paris**
The Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Keve) announced on Monday that a delegation from Cyprus achieved notable success at the Eurosatory 2026 international defence, security, and equipment exhibition, which took place in Paris last week. This event is recognized as one of the premier platforms for showcasing advancements in the defence and security sectors globally.
In a statement, Keve expressed satisfaction with Cyprus's presence at the exhibition, highlighting the significant progress the country has made in developing its defence industry in recent years. The chamber emphasized that the participation of Cypriot firms at Eurosatory demonstrated the emergence of a competitive ecosystem within Cyprus, featuring businesses that are engaged in the development of innovative and technologically advanced products. This progress positions Cyprus favorably within the international defence, security, and space markets.
The Cypriot delegation comprised 14 companies and one Centre of Excellence, which collectively showcased a diverse array of products, solutions, and applications addressing critical areas in defence and security. The chamber congratulated all participants for their strong and well-organized representation at the exhibition, noting that their efforts contributed to a positive impression of Cyprus on the international stage.
Keve highlighted the Cypriot pavilion as a model of effective collaboration between the public and private sectors. The pavilion's organization was the result of a joint effort involving Keve, the Ministry of Defence, the Association of Research and Innovation Enterprises, and the Defence and Space Business Cluster. This cooperation was deemed essential for the successful promotion of Cyprus's participation at the event, ensuring a cohesive and well-structured presentation.
Significantly, the exhibition yielded tangible results, including the signing of two institutional memoranda of cooperation with prominent associations in the defence sector: GICAT, the French defence industry association, and ADS Group, the British defence and aerospace industry association. These agreements are expected to enhance the international networking capabilities of the Cypriot industry and foster future cooperation opportunities.
In addition to these institutional agreements, several memoranda of cooperation were also established between Cypriot companies and foreign businesses. Keve indicated that these agreements pave the way for new commercial partnerships and facilitate participation in international value chains, further integrating Cypriot firms into the global market.
The chamber noted that the robust presence of Cypriot companies at Eurosatory 2026 reflects the country's ongoing commitment to innovation, collaboration, and internationalization within the defence sector.
