Perhaps he should start his investigation a little closer to home, with who exactly handed the party’s membership rolls over to Mavroyiannis’s campaign team, and who was going in and out, back and forth, of that same campaign HQ between the first and second rounds. Now that would have been a “step” to the left. But there’s more to his statement than that. If DISY’s candidate makes it through to the second round of the presidential election against Christodoulides, is he presumably going to be the one out front, bellowing about the party’s staunch, nationally-minded right-wing identity, to stop it reaching out to the left in the hunt for votes from the broader left?
