A driver was freed from a vehicle after veering off course and hitting a tree in Protaras in the early hours of Thursday.
The fire service said they were informed about the incident at around 5.40am and responded to the incident with a rescue team from the Famagusta fire station.
“According to the information so far, and under circumstances that are being investigated, the driver lost control of the vehicle, resulting in it veering off course, hitting a tree and coming to a stop,” the fire service said.
The driver was freed from the vehicle and transferred to the A&E department of the Famagusta general hospital.
