**Elam Hails Cyprus-Israel Cooperation**
In a recent meeting held on Thursday, Evgenios Chamboullas, an MP from the National Popular Front (Elam) and chairman of the House Defence Committee, emphasized the significance of the growing cooperation between Cyprus and Israel. Chamboullas described the relationship as “mutually beneficial,” highlighting the advancements made in bilateral relations, particularly in the defence sector.
The meeting took place with Israeli Ambassador Oren Anolik, where both officials discussed the high level of collaboration that has developed between their nations over recent years. Chamboullas expressed satisfaction with the existing ties, which he attributed to the “historical ties” that link the two countries.
Chamboullas underscored the importance of enhancing parliamentary exchanges, especially between the defence committees of Cyprus and Israel. He believes that fostering these connections will contribute to the strengthening of their bilateral relationship.
Ambassador Anolik echoed this sentiment, noting that there is a broad political consensus in Israel regarding the importance of maintaining and deepening relations with Cyprus. He expressed confidence in the continued growth of cooperation between the two nations.
