According to information still being examined, a car driven by a 38-year-old was reversing in Archbishop Makarios Square at around 3.45pm when it struck Christou, who was walking behind the vehicle at the time. The circumstances of the collision are still being investigated. Christou was taken by ambulance to Nicosia General Hospital, where he was treated in critical condition. Lakatamia Police Station is continuing its investigation.
