The Fire Service received the call at 00:25, and three fire engines responded from the Paphos Gate and Kaimakli fire stations. The fire and resulting heat caused extensive damage to the electric scooter, while smoke affected part of the apartment’s wall paint. The resident noticed the fire in time and moved to put it out before it could spread. Other residents of the building safely left for an open area before the Fire Service arrived and were not in danger. The cause of the fire will be investigated in cooperation with the relevant authorities.
