**Etek Supports Practical Projects with Grants Up to €20,000**
The Cyprus Scientific and Technical Chamber (Etek) has announced the opening of applications for its sixth participatory budget, aimed at funding projects that deliver tangible benefits to both the profession and the wider community. This initiative is part of Etek's ongoing commitment to support innovative and practical solutions in various fields.
Under this year's programme, a total of €100,000 is available for funding, with individual projects or actions eligible to receive grants of up to €20,000. The chamber emphasizes that proposals should align with its areas of activity and responsibility, extending their benefits beyond Etek's membership to positively impact professionals and the public at large.
Etek has outlined specific criteria for eligible projects. Proposals must not only aim to produce practical outcomes or deliverables but should also create broader added value, avoiding projects that remain at the level of mere research or discussion. This focus on practicality is intended to ensure that funded projects lead to real-world applications and improvements.
Applications can be submitted by both individuals and legal entities that are members of Etek. However, each proposal must be supported by at least two additional members of the chamber, ensuring a collaborative approach to project development. This requirement underscores Etek's commitment to fostering teamwork and shared expertise among its members.
Once submitted, applications will be evaluated by a five-member committee tasked with assessing the merits and potential impact of each proposal. This evaluation process is designed to ensure that the most promising projects receive funding and support.
Interested applicants are required to submit their proposals exclusively via email to [email protected] by 2pm on Monday, October 12, 2026. Etek advises all potential applicants to carefully review the terms of the call and to ensure that their application forms are fully completed before submission. Additional details and necessary documents can be found on the Etek website.
This initiative represents a significant opportunity for Etek members to contribute to meaningful projects that address societal needs while enhancing their professional practice. By providing financial support for innovative ideas, Etek aims to stimulate progress and collaboration within the scientific and technical fields in Cyprus.
