**€500 Million Road Upgrade Plan Aimed at Easing Limassol Congestion**
Limassol, Cyprus – A comprehensive plan to invest €493 million in road upgrades aimed at alleviating traffic congestion in Limassol is set to be unveiled by Transport Minister Alexis Vafeades during a meeting with local mayors on Friday. The initiative is part of a broader strategy to enhance urban mobility and improve traffic flow in one of Cyprus's busiest cities.
The proposed projects include a mix of immediate and long-term improvements, with a focus on both targeted upgrades and the introduction of new infrastructure. Other projects that are ready for implementation or are in the tender announcement phase include the construction of a roundabout at the Ayios Athanasios and Anikodomiseos junction, as well as a new exit from the motorway at Limassol’s Pyrgos.
