**Eurobank Staff Donate School Supplies to Vulnerable Families Ahead of New School Year**
In a commendable effort to support children from vulnerable families, employees of Eurobank have participated in an annual initiative organized by the Pancyprian Volunteerism Coordinative Council (PVCC). This year marks the 12th edition of the “Back to School Supplies for ALL Children” campaign, which aims to ensure that all children have access to the necessary school supplies as the new academic year approaches.
Throughout Cyprus, Eurobank employees have actively engaged in collecting a variety of school supplies, including school bags, pencil cases, stationery, books, children's stories, and educational toys. The initiative reflects a strong commitment to community support and highlights the importance of education for all children, regardless of their socio-economic status.
In addition to the school supplies, Eurobank has also pledged to donate used office furniture, such as desks, bookcases, and chairs, along with computers that are still in good condition. These contributions are intended to assist individuals and organizations in need, further extending the bank's outreach beyond just educational materials.
The donations were officially handed over to the PVCC on Monday during a meeting attended by representatives from Eurobank and a delegation led by the council's chairman, Elias Demetriou. This collaboration underscores the importance of partnerships between corporate entities and volunteer organizations in addressing community needs.
The PVCC will be responsible for distributing the collected supplies to vulnerable families, as well as to voluntary and non-governmental organizations that support these families. This ensures that the resources reach those who need them most before the school year begins.
Additionally, some of the supplies gathered through this initiative will benefit children attending schools in the northern regions of Cyprus, specifically in Rizokarpaso and Kormakitis. This aspect of the campaign emphasizes inclusivity and the commitment to providing educational resources to all children, irrespective of their geographical location.
As the new school year approaches, initiatives like the “Back to School Supplies for ALL Children” campaign play a crucial role in fostering a supportive environment for students and their families. Eurobank's involvement not only aids in alleviating the financial burden on vulnerable families but also promotes the value of education as a fundamental right for every child.
This campaign highlights the collective effort required to ensure that all children have the tools they need to succeed in their educational journeys, reinforcing the message that community support can make a significant difference in the lives of those in need.
