Famagusta DLGO announced today that the memorandum was signed on Tuesday, August 11. The cooperation builds on the DLGO’s contribution to date to the development and testing of the PyroGuard AI early fire warning system, which has used strategic locations in Famagusta district since the early stages of its development, according to the announcement. These locations, the announcement adds, offer extensive visibility over large areas because of their geographical position and altitude, making a significant contribution to the early detection of smoke and fires. “The success of the initial installations played a decisive role in the further development and expansion of the PyroGuard AI network across the whole of Cyprus, highlighting the important role local authorities can play in promoting innovative solutions with a meaningful environmental and social impact,” the announcement adds. Famagusta DLGO president Yiannis Karousos said the signing of the memorandum “confirms our commitment to supporting innovation and making use of technologies that strengthen the safety and resilience of our district and our country.” Neuranet Solutions Ltd was represented at the signing by its founder and CEO, William Demetriou.
