Civil Defence stressed that the alert will not relate to a real incident and that the public does not need to take any action. Citizens are also reminded that, to receive CY-Alert notifications, they must enable the relevant settings on their devices. For guidance on mobile phone settings, the public may contact 1450. Instructions on how to activate the alerts are also available in videos on Civil Defence’s official social media accounts and on the website www.gov.cy/cy-alert.
