**Fires in Dali and Paleometocho Under Control**
On Tuesday afternoon, the fire brigade responded to two separate fires in the Nicosia district, specifically in the areas of Dali and Paleometocho. The incidents prompted a swift response from local fire services, which deployed four staffed fire engines from the Nicosia fire stations.
Fire service spokesman Andreas Kettis provided details regarding the incidents. The first fire ignited in bales of hay that were loaded onto a truck in a livestock area of Dali. The second fire, occurring shortly thereafter, affected approximately eight acres of dry grass and wild vegetation situated between Paleometocho and Kokkinotrimithia.
Thanks to the prompt actions of the fire brigade, both fires have been brought under control, preventing any further spread or potential damage to surrounding properties. The quick response highlights the effectiveness of the local fire services in managing fire incidents in the region.
As of now, there have been no reported injuries or significant damage to property linked to these fires. The causes of the fires are still under investigation, and authorities are expected to release further information as it becomes available.
Residents in the affected areas are advised to remain vigilant, especially during the dry season when the risk of fires can increase. The fire brigade continues to monitor the situation and is prepared to respond to any new incidents that may arise.
