**Five Cypriot Cyclists Finish in Top 15 at Balkan Downhill Championships**

In a notable display of talent and determination, five Cypriot cyclists achieved commendable results at the Balkan Downhill Championships held in the scenic mountains of Poiana Brașov, Romania, on July 24 and 25. The event showcased some of the best downhill mountain biking talent from across the Balkan region, and the Cypriot team made a significant impact.
Leading the Cypriot contingent was Andreas Theodorou, the reigning Cyprus Champion, who secured an impressive 6th place in the Balkan Championships. His performance not only earned him a top spot in the competition but also placed him 15th in the overall standings, reflecting his skill and competitive spirit.
Another standout was Theoharidou, also a Cyprus Champion, who finished 5th in her category. Her strong performance contributed to the overall success of the Cypriot team, showcasing the depth of talent in the island's cycling community.

Unfortunately, not all competitors were able to complete the event. Dimitris Kittenis suffered an injury during practice on the day of the final race, preventing him from participating. His absence was felt by the team, but the remaining cyclists rallied to represent Cyprus with pride.
