CID Paphos is investigating conspiracy to commit a felony, conspiracy to commit a misdemeanour, riot, robbery, causing actual bodily harm, illegal possession and transport of an offensive weapon, common assault and malicious damage in connection with the incident. According to information under examination, a 26-year-old food delivery rider went to the Mouttalos village area at around 8.40pm to deliver a food order. On arrival, an unknown man accompanied by three others refused to pay for the order and then attacked the 26-year-old, throwing a stone at him. The rider alerted other delivery riders, who went to the scene. At the same time, around ten unknown men arrived in the area, some of whom are reported to have been carrying metal objects. The unknown men attacked the delivery riders and knocked over their motorcycles, damaging them. Four of the unknown men then left in their vehicle and drove into Mouttalos village, where they came across a 22-year-old delivery rider who had just completed a delivery. Three of the men got out of the vehicle and attacked him, taking cash and his mobile phone before leaving the area in an unknown direction. Five delivery riders were injured in the incident and taken by ambulance to Paphos General Hospital. The duty doctor examined them and found they had sustained various injuries. Four were discharged, while one remained in hospital for further treatment. CID Paphos is continuing its investigation.
