**Four Arrested Over Illegal Security Guard Work in Limassol**
Limassol, Cyprus – Four individuals were arrested on Sunday in Limassol following an investigation into illegal security guard activities. The arrests were made after police discovered that three of the suspects were working as security guards without the necessary licenses, while a fourth individual was found to be violating the terms of her own security license.
According to a police statement released on Monday, officers responded to information received regarding unauthorized security operations at a specific location in the city. The operation took place at approximately 11 a.m. on Sunday.
Upon arrival, police encountered a 62-year-old woman who was operating the electric gate of the premises. She was employed by a private security company and possessed a valid security license. However, further inquiries revealed that the security responsibilities for the premises had been assigned to another company, leading to her arrest for breaching the conditions of her license.
In addition to the 62-year-old woman, two other women, aged 31 and 30, along with a 75-year-old man, were also found at the scene acting as security personnel. None of the three had the required licenses to perform security work, resulting in their immediate arrest.
Following the arrests, all four individuals were taken to a police station in Limassol where they were formally charged in writing. They were subsequently released after the charges were filed.
