The Prosecutor General's Office supports the petition to remove the Yabloko party from the State Duma elections due to foreign funding and a number of other violations, a TASS correspondent reports from the courtroom of the Supreme Court, where the claim is being considered. "We believe that there are all grounds to satisfy the claim in accordance with the law, and we ask that Yabloko be removed from the State Duma elections," the prosecutor said. He cited receiving foreign funding and violating legislation on combating extremism among the grounds. A Rodina representative said basically the same thing during arguments. Yabloko representatives asked the court to dismiss the claim. Earlier, Alexey Zhuravlev, chairman of the Rodina party and a State Duma deputy, told TASS that he had filed a petition with the Supreme Court requesting that Yabloko be removed from the elections to the State Duma.
