Flash floodwaters surged through the Trishuli River in Nepal after a large volume of water entered the Bhote Koshi from the Tibetan side. The flooding followed a major surge in the Bhote Koshi in northern Rasuwa district, where villages, roads and infrastructure were damaged. Authorities warned people to stay away from the banks of the Bhote Koshi, Trishuli and Narayani rivers as rescue teams assessed the situation. Hundreds of people were reported missing, while at least eight deaths were confirmed.
