According to the fans cited, a group of supporters attacked Israeli fans using stones, which they say resulted in two people being injured. One fan said “some Beitar fans moved on their own and fell into an ambush by AEK fans, who started throwing stones at them,” before around 60 to 70 people attacked them. Another fan said “there were people bleeding,” adding that most organised fans were already in the stands and that those injured were young. These accounts come from testimony carried by Israeli media and have not been officially confirmed by Cypriot authorities. A video circulating on social media, and reproduced by Israeli publications, appears to show a Beitar fan alone in the street being attacked by a group of people.
