**Lane Closures Planned on Pedoulas-Kykkos-Kambos Road for Maintenance Works**
The Public Works Department of Cyprus has announced a series of temporary lane closures on the Pedoulas-Kykkos-Kambos road. These closures will take place from Friday, June 26, until Monday, July 6, as part of ongoing maintenance efforts aimed at improving the roadway.
Motorists should expect one lane of the road to be closed in segments of approximately 100 meters at a time. This work will occur on weekdays, specifically from 7 AM to 3 PM, and will not take place during the weekends. To manage traffic flow during these closures, a Stop & Go system will be implemented, allowing vehicles to be diverted to the adjacent lane.
The maintenance works are necessary to ensure the safety and functionality of the road, which stretches approximately 2.5 kilometers in the direction from Pedoulas towards Kambos. The Public Works Department has emphasized the importance of these repairs in maintaining the quality of the infrastructure.
In light of the upcoming lane closures, the department has urged motorists to exercise patience and understanding. They are also advised to adhere to the temporary traffic signs that will be placed along the route and to follow any instructions provided by police officers on site.
As the maintenance works progress, the Public Works Department aims to minimize disruptions to traffic while ensuring that essential repairs are completed efficiently. Motorists are encouraged to plan their journeys accordingly and to allow for extra travel time during the maintenance period.
