Thursday, August 27 The festival opens at 8pm with a concert by the Aurora String Quartet, featuring music from films that left their mark on world cinema, with artistic direction by Artemisia Vasiliou. At 8.30pm, the festival screens “La Belle Époque” at Larnaca Municipal Garden. Friday, August 28 At 9.30am, a hands-on workshop for educators, “Literature and Cinema”, takes place at the Larnaca House of Letters and Arts. At 6.45pm, a walking tour, “One Neighbourhood – Many Faces”, led by Andria Efthimiou, meets in front of the Lion of Venice statue on Athens Avenue. At 8pm, the film “Dancing Queen” screens at Mesogeios Artists’ Park. Saturday, August 29 At 10am, a film workshop for teenagers aged 11 to 15, “One Object, Five Perspectives”, runs at the Larnaca House of Letters and Arts. From 8pm to 10.30pm, the Common Ground Cinema Experience brings walking cinema to Salina Park, with three screens in three different corners of the park showing multiple parallel screenings of the films “Ebb & Flow” (18 minutes), “What If They Bomb Here Tonight?” (17 minutes), “One Last Time” (19 minutes), “Crow Man” (17 minutes) and “There Is No Other Cyprus” (45 minutes). A discussion with the films’ creators follows, presented in collaboration with the PRIO Cyprus Centre. Sunday, August 30 At 6.45pm, a walking tour, “Larnaca in Close-Up”, led by Andria Efthimiou, meets at Europe Square. At 8pm, the film “Thank You for Your Business” screens at Zouhouri Square. At 9.30pm, Kontovourkis & Co perform a concert at Zouhouri Square. All festival events are free to attend.
