**Larnaca Municipality to Invest Over €2.3 Million in Road Upgrades**
Larnaca, Cyprus – The Larnaca municipality has announced plans to invest more than €2.3 million in road maintenance and upgrade projects throughout the year 2026. This investment aims to enhance the condition of roads and improve overall safety for both residents and visitors in the area.
On Thursday, the municipality confirmed the signing of a contract worth €758,566 with Iacovou Construction Ltd. This contract will cover asphalt paving works on various roads within Larnaca. The initiative is part of a broader program that encompasses not only Larnaca but also the neighboring municipal districts of Livadia and Voroklini.
The roadworks are set to commence immediately, with an anticipated completion date by the end of 2026. The municipality has expressed that these upgrades are essential for improving road conditions, which in turn will contribute to increased road safety and an enhanced quality of life for the community.
In addition to the upcoming projects, the municipality has already completed €1.61 million worth of road maintenance works earlier this year. These efforts reflect a continuous commitment to infrastructure improvement in the region, addressing the needs of a growing population and the demands of increased traffic.
The Larnaca municipality's investment in road upgrades is part of a strategic approach to enhance urban mobility and ensure that the road network meets modern standards. As the municipality moves forward with these projects, it aims to create a safer and more efficient transportation environment for all users.
