Tension arose at the scene, after which the man got into a vehicle and left. He was then involved in a traffic collision in central Nicosia, at the Solomou square, where he crashed the vehicle, reported to have been stolen, into a concrete wall. According to information, the man was initially conscious, and passers-by called an ambulance. He was taken to Nicosia General Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries in the early hours of Thursday. Police are investigating the circumstances of the crash, with the mandatory post-mortem expected to establish the exact cause of death.
