A 57-year-old man was remanded for eight days by the Larnaca district court on Saturday following a police operation that uncovered a significant cache of illegal items at his residence. The man faces serious charges related to the possession of drugs, explosives, and weapons.
The operation, which took place on Friday, was conducted by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) in collaboration with the drug squad, known as Ykan. Additionally, a quantity of gunpowder was found at the scene.
In terms of narcotics, police seized approximately 210 grams of cannabis plant material, around 70 grams of cocaine, and 5 grams of cannabis resin. The authorities also found two packages of cannabidiol, precision scales, and a substantial amount of cash totaling €40,000.
