**Mobile Phone Satisfaction Remains High Among Cypriot Consumers**

A recent survey conducted by Pulse Market Research on behalf of the communication commission has revealed that consumers in Cyprus continue to express a high level of satisfaction with their mobile phone services. However, the survey, published on Friday, also highlighted an increase in reported connection issues and growing dissatisfaction regarding the handling of complaints by service providers.

The survey indicated that overall satisfaction with mobile services remains robust, with many consumers appreciating the value for money offered by their providers. In fact, perceptions of value for money have shown a slight improvement compared to the previous year, suggesting that consumers feel they are receiving better deals.

Cost remains the primary factor influencing consumers' choice of mobile provider. Competitive pricing and attractive offers are prioritized over reliability and network coverage when individuals select their service providers. This trend is further underscored by the fact that better tariffs and promotions were the most frequently cited reasons for considering a switch to another provider.

Despite the positive sentiment regarding overall satisfaction, the survey revealed that poor mobile internet performance is the most commonly reported issue among users. Other significant problems include complete loss of service, poor call quality, and dropped calls. Additionally, many consumers reported experiencing calls being diverted directly to voicemail and delays in sending text messages. Notably, these connectivity issues appear to be more prevalent among younger users.

The survey also noted a slight uptick in the number of consumers who felt compelled to lodge complaints about their mobile service providers over the past year. However, it is important to point out that fewer than half of those who experienced issues chose to submit a formal complaint. Furthermore, satisfaction with how providers addressed these complaints has declined compared to last year, indicating that customer service remains an area requiring improvement.

Despite these challenges, a majority of consumers expressed their intention to remain with their current mobile provider. However, approximately one in five respondents indicated they would consider switching companies, primarily due to concerns regarding service quality.

The survey was conducted in May and included responses from over 1,200 individuals, providing a comprehensive overview of consumer sentiment regarding mobile phone services in Cyprus. As the telecommunications landscape continues to evolve, the findings underscore the importance of addressing connectivity issues and enhancing customer service to maintain high levels of consumer satisfaction.
