Traffic officers stopped the suspect just after 11:00 p.m. as he was riding a motorcycle without registration plates. During a search of the storage compartment beneath the seat, officers found two small bags containing 18 pouches of cannabis with a total gross weight of 78 grams, a three-gram pouch of cocaine, and a precision scale. Following the discovery, police arrested the young man and took him to the Larnaca Drug Enforcement Unit (YKAN) headquarters. Officers detained him under investigation for drug possession and possession with intent to supply. The 21-year-old also faces multiple traffic charges after checks revealed he was riding without a driving licence, without insurance cover, and on a motorcycle that had been officially declared as stationary.
