**Myths and Legends Showcased in Ayia Napa**
Ayia Napa, Cyprus – A new exhibition titled "The Myths of Cyprus" is currently on display at the Ayios Epiphanios Cultural Academy, located within the historic Medieval Monastery of Ayia Napa. Curated by the Press and Information Office (PIO), this exhibition delves into the rich tapestry of Cyprus’ mythology, folklore, and cultural heritage.
The exhibition aims to engage visitors through a variety of interactive visual and digital displays that highlight the island’s diverse myths and legends. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore a range of mythical figures, legendary creatures, and significant locations tied to stories that have been passed down through generations. This includes both well-known tales and those that are less familiar, providing a comprehensive overview of Cyprus’ cultural narratives.
"The Myths of Cyprus" is inspired by an audiovisual series of the same name produced by the PIO, which serves as a foundation for the exhibition’s content. By employing innovative presentation techniques, the exhibition seeks to bring these ancient stories to life, making them accessible and engaging for a modern audience.
The exhibition is open to the public free of charge and will run until November 8. During the months of August and September, visitors can explore the exhibition from Monday to Friday between 10 AM and 2 PM and again from 5 PM to 7 PM. On weekends, the exhibition hours are from 4 PM to 8 PM.
