**Nissi Beach Crowned Cyprus’ Most Instagrammable Destination**
Nissi Beach, located in the popular resort town of Ayia Napa, has been recognized as the most Instagrammable beach in Cyprus, according to a recent study released by Hot Spring Spas NZ on Monday. The beach has achieved a remarkable global ranking, placing 11th among 98 beaches analyzed in the research.
The study evaluated the number of Instagram posts relative to the length of each beach, with Nissi Beach measuring 675 meters long. It garnered an impressive total of 258,371 posts, averaging 383 posts per meter. This performance not only secured Nissi Beach the top spot in Cyprus but also made it the only beach from the island to feature in the global top 20.
Following Nissi Beach, Fig Tree Bay in Protaras ranked 60th worldwide. Fig Tree Bay recorded 59,696 posts over a length of 818 meters, resulting in an average of 73 posts per meter. This highlights the popularity of both beaches as prime destinations for social media enthusiasts and tourists alike.
In terms of overall performance, Cyprus ranked eighth among 36 countries based on the success of its highest-ranked beach. This places the island in a favorable position within the global beach tourism landscape.
The study's findings indicate that Nissi Beach's picturesque scenery and accessibility contribute significantly to its popularity on social media platforms. Aaron Sampson, the general manager of Hot Spring Spas NZ, noted that factors such as scenic views and ease of access play a crucial role in enhancing a beach's ranking in terms of Instagram posts.
The research analyzed over 160 well-known beaches worldwide, with the data collection occurring on August 5. Only beaches with more than 50,000 posts were included in the study, ensuring that the results reflect significant social media engagement.
Globally, Bondi Beach in Australia emerged as the top-ranked beach, boasting over two million posts. It was followed by Venice Beach in the United States and Coogee Beach, also in Australia, rounding out the top three spots. Other notable beaches in the global top 10 included Padang Padang in Indonesia and Waikiki in the United States.
As social media continues to influence travel and tourism, the recognition of Nissi Beach as Cyprus’ most Instagrammable beach is likely to attract even more visitors to the area, further enhancing its reputation as a must-visit destination for beachgoers and photographers alike.
