Larnaca CID received the report at around 9:00 am. According to the complaint, the attacker wore a black long-sleeved top and a food delivery company vest, and had his face fully covered by a black motorcycle helmet. The owner resisted, and the attacker struck him on the head with the gun, causing a laceration. The owner nonetheless managed to push him out of the shop. The attacker fled in a vehicle that had been waiting outside the shop, driven by another unknown person. Examinations were carried out at the scene, while the victim was taken to hospital, where his wound was stitched. He is expected to be discharged. Larnaca CID is investigating the case.
