Pakistan's women's cricket captain, Fatima Sana, has been fined 10 percent of her match fee by the International Cricket Council (ICC) following an incident during the Asia Cup group match against India. The sanction was announced on September 7, 2026, just days after Pakistan suffered a significant defeat to their rivals.
The incident occurred when Sana gestured towards the pavilion after successfully catching and bowling out Indian batter Shafali Verma during her second over. Verma, who scored 12 runs off six balls, was dismissed as India dominated the match, ultimately winning by seven wickets.
