The preparatory work was mapped out once the legal obstacles were cleared, and from the outset it pointed to a January 2027 signing, the sources said. No new obstacles or other issues have arisen, they said, and preparations are running to the timetables set, with the aim of having everything ready to sign by then. The marina will be the largest in Cyprus, with capacity for 1,000 boats and substantial land infrastructure. It has been a standing demand of every body in Paphos. Officials speaking to Phileleftheros on Wednesday said the Deputy Ministry of Tourism and Akamas Municipality have worked closely together in recent months. They called that significant, since the Deputy Ministry carries responsibility for delivering the Paphos marina.
