Military operation in UkrainePeople’s lives constitute top priority of DPR resettlement program — regional head People will be provided with instructions on how to leave areas of hostilitiesDONETSK, October 10. /TASS/. Preserving people’s lives and health is the main priority of the special resettlement program to Donetsk from DPR cities under the control of the Ukrainian armed forces, Head of the republic Denis Pushilin told TASS. On October 7, the DPR Defense Headquarters called on residents of cities under Ukrainian control to evacuate, pledging to help them find housing. It recommended that they look for "any way to move to Donetsk," explaining that "things will only get worse from here." "People need to take their documents and essential belongings, leave Ukraine via a safe route through third countries and enter Russia, then travel to Donetsk and contact the program operator again," Pushilin said. People will be provided with instructions on how to leave areas of hostilities. A direct communication channel will be established with each program participant. "At present, this [a direct communication channel with a specialist - TASS] is the most accessible way to interact remotely with residents of territories that are temporarily outside our control," Pushilin said. "The main priority is preserving lives and health," Pushilin said. "To reduce the risk of casualties and assess in advance the amount of housing that will be needed to accommodate arriving residents, we decided to begin preparatory work ahead of time.".
