**Plenty of Wine, Music, and History at Limassol Festival**
The annual Limassol Wine Festival is set to return for its 64th edition, celebrating the grape harvest season with a week-long event filled with wine, music, and cultural activities. The festival will take place from September 26 to October 4 at the Municipal Garden in Limassol, offering a vibrant atmosphere for both locals and visitors.
Organized by the Limassol Municipality, the festival promises a variety of experiences that highlight the rich traditions of Cypriot culture. Attendees can look forward to wine tastings featuring local wineries, which will showcase their products at special prices. Open-air restaurants will also be available, serving a selection of culinary delights to complement the wine offerings.
In addition to the wine-focused activities, the festival will feature live music performances, traditional dances, and handicraft workshops. These activities aim to engage visitors of all ages, with dedicated workshops for children to explore their creativity. Throughout the festival, attendees can enjoy free entertainment, including photography and caricature exhibitions.
The opening night on September 26 will kick off with a special illusion magic show by the Liotati Family, scheduled for 8 PM. This will be followed by a musical performance led by Vasiliki Hadjiadamou and Sotos Gonios, accompanied by the Philharmonic Orchestra of the Limassol Municipality. At 9 PM, traditional and folk music will take center stage with a performance by Stefanos Pelekanis and his orchestra.
The festival will continue to feature a range of performances throughout its duration. On September 27, the theatre performance "Ena Krasi Mia Thalasa" will be presented by Oi Amathousiou, accompanied by live music from the band Nomades. Later that evening, the Cretan band Cretaioi, along with singer Giannis Fragkiadoulakis, will bring the sounds of Crete to Limassol with a performance at 9 PM.
