**Police Arrest 13 in Nationwide Overnight Operation Across Cyprus**
In a coordinated effort to enhance public safety and combat serious crime, the Cyprus Police conducted a large-scale overnight operation that resulted in the arrest of 13 individuals. The operation took place on June 14, 2026, and involved thorough checks on drivers and various premises throughout the island.

Among these, 96 drivers were cited for exceeding the speed limit. In total, 21 vehicles were impounded as part of the ongoing investigations.
The police conducted 411 alcohol tests, leading to 30 reports of violations. Furthermore, one driver tested positive in a preliminary drug test, highlighting the ongoing issues related to substance use and driving.
