According to police, the arrests involved various offences, including burglary, possession of burglary tools, possession of drugs, illegal stay in the Republic and driving under the influence of alcohol. During the operations, officers checked 695 vehicles and 916 people and inspected 58 premises, resulting in six complaints for violations. As part of traffic enforcement checks, police issued 340 traffic violation complaints, while 12 cases involving traffic offences remain under investigation. Police also detained 22 vehicles. Of the traffic offences recorded, 83 involved speeding, while 29 complaints concerned driving under the influence of alcohol. A total of 336 alcohol tests were carried out on drivers, leading to the relevant complaints. Police also conducted eight preliminary drug tests, resulting in two cases involving driving under the influence of drugs. Police said crime prevention and suppression operations will continue on a daily basis, with an increased presence, targeted checks and immediate operational action to protect citizens and safeguard public order.
