Since the incident came to police attention, members of the Cybercrime Subdirectorate have been investigating it, assessing the available digital and other evidential material and taking the necessary steps to identify the people who appear in the material or may be involved in the case. Police said they fully understand the concern the case has caused in society. The investigation is continuing carefully and methodically, following the procedures in place and with particular care given the involvement of a minor. Once the examinations are complete, and based on the evidence secured, police will assess whether criminal offences arise and, if so, will follow the procedures set out in law. Given the nature of the case and the involvement of a minor, police are calling on the public to act with particular responsibility and to avoid further sharing or spreading the material in question. It is recalled that the video caused an outcry online, after several people were seen appearing to urge a minor with a disability to expose himself. According to information obtained by philenews, a complaint and several reports have been submitted to police over the incident. The incident was recorded during a live discussion on TikTok. Those involved, whose own ages are also under investigation, can be seen mocking the child while urging him to expose himself.
