The organizers have characterized Herzog's visit as a "huge provocation" in light of Israel's ongoing military operations in Gaza and the West Bank, as well as its actions in Lebanon, Syria, and Iran. They are calling for the public to join the demonstration to express their opposition and to convey a message that Herzog is unwelcome in Cyprus.
