According to the EAC, the affected areas include Agios Mamas and Anthoupolis, as well as part of the Archangelos–Anthoupolis area near Nicosia Mall. EAC spokesperson Christina Papadopoulou said the fault involved an underground cable and may have been caused by heat or moisture. The outages began between 1:06 pm and 1:10 pm. Power is expected to be fully restored by 4:30 pm.
