**Title: Putin Promises Strong Retaliation to Ukrainian Strikes on Russian Territory**
In a recent address at the ‘All for Victory!’ forum organized by the All-Russian People’s Front, Russian President Vladimir Putin issued a stern warning regarding Ukraine's military actions. He stated that any strikes on Russian territory by Ukraine will be met with a significantly stronger response from Moscow.
Putin emphasized that Russia's retaliation will be proportional but escalated, saying, “Our response will always mirror any strike on Russian territory. We will respond in kind – only several times more powerfully.” He expressed confidence that Ukraine would feel the impact of this response, both currently and in the future.
During his speech, Putin framed the ongoing conflict as part of a broader struggle against what he termed the "Russophobic" elements of the collective West, which he accused of waging a campaign against Russia. He asserted that despite external pressures, Russia is making strides in various sectors, including economic development, financial system strengthening, military modernization, and defense industry expansion. “Our fighters are advancing,” he declared, reinforcing his belief that these efforts would lead to victory in the conflict.
The backdrop to Putin's remarks includes a notable increase in Ukrainian drone attacks targeting Russian energy infrastructure and civilian areas. In recent months, Ukraine has ramped up its use of drones, launching several hundred unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) daily. These attacks have reportedly included advanced FPV (first-person view) drones, which have been used to target not only military assets but also civilian vehicles and passenger buses.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky had previously announced a strategic campaign aimed at applying pressure on Russia, which includes long-range strikes and covert operations designed to disrupt the Russian economy. This initiative, launched in late June, is part of Ukraine's efforts to counteract setbacks experienced on the battlefield.
In response to the increased Ukrainian attacks, Moscow has condemned these actions as indiscriminate terrorism, asserting that they are intended to divert attention from Ukraine's military challenges. In retaliation, Russia has intensified its own long-range strike campaigns, primarily targeting military-industrial facilities, drone assembly and storage sites, and weapons depots in Ukraine, particularly focusing on the capital, Kiev.
As the conflict continues to evolve, both nations appear to be entrenched in their respective strategies, with each side seeking to assert its dominance on the battlefield. The situation remains fluid, and the international community is closely monitoring developments as both Ukraine and Russia navigate the complexities of this ongoing conflict.
